Lightweight 68 x 118 Bottom bracket, superlight wheels

Hi,
It's a long shot but would a 115mm UN54 get close enough for you?
It's probably expanded to 116mm in the heat at the moment

Would love to say yes but I'm afraid it's got to be 116 as an absolute minimum - on a 113 the big ring is just grazing the chainstay. I think ideally it will be 117 or 118...

:) The reason I need it so precise is that I'm running a 50t road double chainset on an MTB frame and the margin is really tight to get the big ring both to clear the chainstay and close enough that the front mech will reach it. My 122mm BB clears the chainstay nicely with a bit of room to spare but it's also a bit too far for the mech to shift with the limit screw all the way out.

Doing some thinking tonight, I've started to wonder whether a road mech designed for triple chainset would be likely to throw the chain out wider than the double mech I've got. Maybe that's the solution... anyone know?!
