Light scratches etc removal

I would start with soft cloth and paste(polish/autosol) See how that looks.
Still visible id use 0000 grade steel wool, then again with the soft cloth/polish
If still visible, then 1200 wet and dry, followed by the fine steelwool followed by the soft cloth.

Beware that bit doesnt look shinier than the rest

I saw a method id never heard of and didnt believe until i had a go on my P7.

Tin foil shiny side out, make a ball, and dip it in a bit of water and scrub away, like you might use wire wool etc.

Sounds mad but it worked on th bit of my bike, and when it gets back to winter im gonna do the whole thing
