Leather - but where from?!

Hi guys,

I'm trying to source a small bit of vegetable tanned leather from somewhere to make a top tube protector with - can anyone suggest somewhere to look please?

Look in charity shops for women's leather handbags.
Great source of cheap good quality leather.
My Dad re-covered the centre console of his Scimitar using a large handbag and some
time an effort. Looks great !

Sunday morning spitalfields market, there is usually a guy in there selling interesting offcuts. I have done a few saddle recovers from odds and ends picked up there for £1/2

Or you could try a vehicle upholstery company or classic car specialists etc.

Salsprocket - not a bad idea that as there's one in Chelsea, I will certainly look into that.
