Cleaning out my elderly parents' shed, and came across my Dad's old Klein mountainbike, we he owned from new. I think it is late 1980s, and probably a Mountain Klein - but shortly after he purchased it he removed all the decals.
Notable features are chainstays that are square across whole profile (not partially square like later models), press fit BB, canti brake bosses (not U-brake). Serial number is 2MBFD.
Although he added the horrendous stem and saddle, and the v-brakes, rest of bike including drivetrain is original XT and in perfect working condition, including the indexing.
Any thoughts on what model Klein this is, and what I price I should ask on eBay/Craigslist?
