Laser welders ....any good ?

I keep getting videos of these "new" welders pop up, & they seem too good to be true, while they look like Dare Dare`s ray-gun from the Walmart toy dept, the results look impressive & they don't cost too much too - any thoughts people ?

snake oil of the highest level for about 80% of the videos you most likely have seen.

a real "laser welder" from Miller like the optx is around 50k (yes 50).

if it appears cheap, it's too good to be true.

laser is great for thin sheet, for anything else, it's not the tool you want.

is it easy to use? Yep. We used to say any monkey could use a mig welder. Laser is next level for that.

will I be investing? Nope, to rich for my blood.
