Laser printers...

Whats good? Our work printer (an Epson inkjet) is slowly dying and we need a new printer, starting to print a lot of our own material so thinking a half decent laser printer would be the way ahead. Are we barking up the wrong tree? What are your experiences?

Laser toner cartridges can be cripplingly expensive, so my humble advice is to start with the toner cartridges and work backwards. In other words, do some research on which cartridges are:
  • cheapest
  • made by 'third party' manufacturers
  • easiest to get hold of
...and then find out which printers will use those carts.

For example, this eBay seller has a range of toner cartridges for between £20 and £25. For that kind of money, I'd be tempted to buy the kind of printer that can use them...

Cartridge World have branches in Goring and Portslade, so that might be a good place to ask questions.

Just my 2p.
