KTM - 29'er

Re:

Yup, the fork is an Exotic that we had in stock and I'm pretty sure it's a 465mm. It's 1 1/8" with an alloy steerer and is disc only.

Thanks, it looks really good and much shorter than most 29-er forks, nice job!

I'm riding a On-One Inbred 29 with a Salsa CroMoto fork, for 26", which is 445mm, because i don't like a high front end, must be the "retrothing".....

Re:

Strictly speaking I think I could / should have used a longer fork, but it is what we had here and as I have an Exotic fork on my 92 Dave Lloyd, I already knew it was a good fork.

So far, I have no complaints, not even under heavy braking.

My LBS has taken dealership of KTM in my area, so I've been doin a bit of research on them.. I quite fancy a Myroon myself, they are a great brand and know their stuff with geometry. Can't believe I was in the trade for 9 years and hadn't heard of the KTM cycle brand

Re:

I have also got a KTM Revelator 3500 road bike, which I bought a while before the 29'er frame.

I am nothing but impressed with 'The Rev' which was bought specifically to be my all year round training bike and which matches my 'best' road bike (an 853 Rourke) perfectly.

They are a brand to watch and their 2015 line up looks to be bang on trend, at least the road bike stuff I have seen from Eurobike. That said, I have no plans to change either of mine any time soon.

Yeah I downloaded a highly compressed pdf of their 2015 stuff last night, the images were blotchy, but you could tell from that that 2015 is a good year for KTM!
