I saved this from the tip today. It was advertised localy as a freebie, so along I went to take a look.
I've been thinking of buying something different as a project to build up for my 10 year old Niece, and this fitted the bill perfectly.
Its a <cough> Apollo something and is really a total POS, but I'm planning to get it powder coated in a nice baby blue (her favorite colour) and then upgrade as much of the tat that was fitted to it as possible.
I'd like to get this finished for her Birthday in a month's time, so the clock is ticking.
Its pretty much stripped already. I've just got some very stubborn bearing cups to remove.
Not stripped at one piece crank for about 25 years, so that was fun
Anyhow, here are a couple of pics of the little beast when I got it home...
I'm hoping this will turn out to be a really cool little bike for her, and that it will encourage her away from her bloody laptop and dvd's!
