Koski dura-trac Fork: Can I fix it?

Hello All,

In an incredible stroke of luck, I’ve managed to find and buy a 1989 Bridgestone MB-1 comp frame. The seller said he took the Koski fork off it before selling the frame to me to use on another project of his. He’s been wonderful and I respect his decision.

However, I now find myself in the position to buy the Koski fork that belonged to my mb-1 because the seller tried to bend something into place and somehow cracked one of the brake bosses. I’ve every intention to buy it, IF you could educate me by responding to the following:

1. Is it reparable?
2. If it is, do you advise me to do so, and how?

In a world where the question of "repairable or not" comes down to how much you're willing to spend - I'd say thats fixable by a framebuilder. Might be a bit "involved" but nothing's not-doable - and might need to do both bosses at the same time to get them identical.

It'd need a respray afterwards but I'd say fixable.

Someone will be along with a recommendation. Probs not in Belgium though...

We’ve got Cycles Rouge Gorge here in Liege but, damn, I didn’t expect to have to spend more on fixing some brake bosses than I did on the frame.
