what size frame are these off? looking for some to fit an 18" Kilauea but reckon a 145mm steerer is a bit on the short side...

they came off a marin! weird! from what i can work out they are 'from' a 16" kona. probably.

142mm steerer is the right length for an 18" Kona with an Impact headset, most other headsets make them too short though

so i'd need an impact headset and velocity stem then? I was going to go ahead route but this might work i guess... any idea how easy an impact head set is to come by?? i fitted one to my ravine bitd and it lasted really well but i am planning a light SS build for the Kilauea, how would the velocity/impact be in terms of weight?

I have a velocity stem and i think the headset thing you are after. It has come of a 1" steerer kona hahanna i have. That be any good?? have spare stickers aswell i think.
