As always, great insight Pip (and I'll let you off - as if you need it - on the butchering of the KK ;-) - glad the vbrake bosses are still there)

Cheers Al, I've previously mentioned that I am always interested to read your observations and comments :)
My KK was set up with V-Brakes for about 3 years until I managed to find my 1998 Hei Hei. I then gave the KK a make-over and popped on some disc brakes (as the Tab was there to be used), and I didn't want to have 2 Ti bikes with too similar a set-up. Rest assured though, the Hei Hei is kitted out with Avid Ultimate Vs & Levers... Mmmm 8)

Anyway, back to the main event here.
May I suggest that H1v9a8c8 writes to Kona tech with a few pictures when the frame arrives. It's quite likely that they will remember what, when, where & how this Stars n Bars KK came about. They have always been very accommodating with me in the past, and seem genuinely stoked by our interest in these classic frames.

Pip.

Owww! I like that a lot! I always wondered if a stars n bars titanium existed, now we know. Looking forward to seeing her built up.
