KONA KULA 1997 ? - How desirable are these?

I had one of these back in 2003, one of my first ebay purchases Very light and almost eggshell like tubing. I'd lusted after one since the mbuk team used to ride them in the mags in '97. They were crazy money as well back then £500 frame only or £1500 complete bike :shock: . The drawback of these frames is the mech hanger was part of the frame so if it snaps the frame is cheese (or singlespeed)!

Good call - got a few shots of them doing all sorts on them. I have to say the bold blood red of the frame and the Z1's makes them look really ace, especially with the yellow decals.

Now got hold of the frame. The forks are Z2 flights and not the Z2 Bombers I thought he had; not sure how good these are. The frame is 19" and in excellent condition.

The Z2 is still a bomber but a "light" model

Thanks Konaman. Is it a good thing that they are light or not?
Out of my comfort zone where MTB's are concerned even though I own a Cannondale F600 Furio. Cheers Pete

They are very good forks Pete, not the lightest but strong and near indestructable.
