nice to see - identical to mine AND my brother's (we both have matching 19" HeiHei Kings bought in the last 2 years). Interestingly yours has the rear disk mount added too - both ours do to, I guess this was a popular mod. (my brother uses his mount with some Hayes disks, I just stick with XTR V-brakes for now). Nice to see and price is the same as we paid so spot-on and good luck with the sale.

PS There are some very good reproduction stickers on ebay for it at the moment - you get everything you need to restore the decals (except the little '6-4' logo) - so worth a look item no. 250304320212

I'd recommend anyone thinking about one of these - dive's in and buy it quick - you won't regret it. I can honestly say it makes the best hardtail MTB I've ever ridden - Kona's geometry makes it even better than my Merlin XLM. This frame was so good when my brother secured one that i had to go and search one out for myself, now we have a pair that will last a lifetime and I'm never selling mine - that is how good they are. Get some original looking decals on there and it is a timeless classic, that Kona should never have stopped making - its the best thing they ever built (although my Mk.1 Easton Kula had similar charm and ace riding properties) - good luck - I hope it goes to a good home : in an ideal world I'd buy it myself to fit some rigid forks to - but can't justify that: and I'd want a non-suspension-adjusted HeiHei to fit Ti Project 2' to complete the collection anyway.

what year(s) were they entirely 6-4? can you tell 6-4 from 3-2.5 by looking? my '99 KK is 3-2.5 w/6-4 dropouts, according to konaworld.

They were never entirely 6/4. As far as I know it was only in '96 (first production year) that the stays were 6/4. Since then they were entirely 3/2.5 except for 6/4 dropouts and BB shell. However, I'm missing the '99 spec sheet.
