A true barn find.
Out ridingmy bike, I stopped to chat to an old farmer leaning on his gate.

He invited me to have a look at what was hanging in his barn:
Do you know what that is? He said.
I only knew it was an early cross framed safety.
He's bought it 50 years previously, it had been hanging in another barn nearby that was being cleared out.

A couple of years later, I saw the farmhouse was empty and up for sale, and learned Den had passed away.

One evening on my way past I saw a light on, so I stopped and knocked on the door.
It was answered by den's daughter.

My experience of selling collectables on ebay is max 1 in 20 watchers want to buy at a realistic price.
The others are bargain hunters, own one, or are just interested in sale values.
I'm usually watching 20x for each thing i buy myself.

So very glad this is on the wrong side of the country for me, or I'd be in a lot of trouble.

Nothing more frustrating as a seller than having loads of watchers and no-one bidding, but that's the game.

Although my experiences tell me that if the price gets a little too high, the risk of non- payment ramps up.

As a fellow Greatly Angular commuter, their "free and reliable" wifi is only reliable for being free. For any other purpose it's useless.
