For sale, the awesome Hei Hei CR DL frameset... his Kona Hei Hei 2020 colourway (brand new warranty frame Feb 2023) has been super well looked after. I used to work for Kona’s brand store as a mechanic and know these bikes inside out. It has had fresh frame bearings as regularly as needed and the bike was effectively a ‘dream build’ on it.
Offered today is the frame in size large, with a good working Fox 34 fork with Luftkappe air spring mod, Fox Float DPS rear shock (190x45 3 pos) including headset, OneUp 210mm dropper, OneUp dropper lever, and front and rear axles. And a spare hanger!
For an extra £50 I can leave in the Wheels MFG thread together PF86.92 Bottom Bracket suitable for any Shimano 24mm cranks. Or am happy to remove.
These frames ride fantastically and were well ahead of their time and compare favourably with bikes like the Specialized Epic 7 Evo, Epic 8, Santa Cruz Blur TR, Trek Top Fuel and any of the other World Cup XC and Downcountry favourites. Like those bikes, it has great playful geometry that is suited to XC racing, or more chunky trail riding, with its 120mm both ends travel. I have had this in a build down to 10.8kg which is very competitive for XC, and with a chunkier wheelset for more wild riding on more challenging terrain.
The fork and shock are in good condition. The frame is in good condition, used, but with no cracks or issues at all and frame bearings smooth and is as such ready to use. A string will be provided for you to pull your brake line.
I probably have the majority of spares to build this frame so if you need any other bits just ask.
Im after £1100 for this inc all of the parts shown, only with the BB optionally at £1150 as it may not be what you need!
These retailed at £2500 for just frame and rear shock, with full builds starting at £4000.
Only reason for sale is that I am now running another of these frames but in XL.
Collection Hereford area or by arrangement potentially Camberley Surrey. Or can post at cost.
Any Qs just ask.
