Kona Haole 1993

Classiker

Old School Hero
Hello,

I'm Frank from Berlin and I bought a Kona Haole frame from 1993 and would like to build it.
I bought it from Belgium. This is my second classic Kona. I startet the topic Kona some months ago.

There are no Specs in the 1993 catalog, someone can help me?

FrameNumber: B59537

Beautiful!

I'll need to dig and see if the US catalogue had the spec. These were mainly frame/fork only and were in limited numbers so bike shops built them to the spec of the owner. Aside the frame, you have the most important piece, the forks. From that, the world is your oyster! The 1994 spec is known, and that's a pretty decent place to start given there wasn't much development.

Unfortunately the fork is not the original. It's a 93 Haole and the specs are completely different. The 93 seems to be Shimano Dura-Ace, the 94 is almost everything from Mavic.
