Kona Hahanna (circa 1995)

Retro Newbie
Just discovered my old Kona while sorting out my garage, so took it to the local bike shop for a price to get it back on the road. I knew it needed a new seat, grips and cables but alas was informed the front forks are bent.

I am not an avid cyclist so it really was cost prohibitive, so the bike shop suggested I do this. So I have.

If anyone is interested in it for spare parts and make a somewhat realistic offer - it's yours. I live in Rogertstone, near Newport South Wales. I have some photos but they will not attach to this posting.

Cheers :

RE Kona

What size frame? Would really need pics to make an offer - can you post them on imageshack or picassa and link here?

Regards,
Donnie

As per the forum rules you'll need a price.

Why not source a cheap set of forks (I'm sure I could give you some for the cost of postage) and a secondhand seat/set of grips and cables. If you do it yourself I reckon you could get the bike back on the road for around £20-30 no problems.

Thanks Guys,

The frame is 18" and the tyres are new 26 x 1.95. The guy in the bike shop said he would ask around £50.00, so then am I.

I haven't ridden it for years and years although my son did put some new tyres on it about 6 months ago. However, there was more work needed than this and as neither of us are bike enthusiasts, it was just left. It needs someone with a bit more bike know how to sort it out and give it some TLC.

I appreciate your offer Mark, but me, DIY, I don't think so / know I can't so. Thanks also Donnie.

I live just outside Newport, South Wales and can post some photos if you give me a private email address as I can't attach them to this.

Cheers, Colin
