Matt is the top tube straight & is the cut in the metal or just the paint?

Check the new photos - top tube is straight as far as I can tell and Ive chipped away at the cut and it was just a cut in the laquer, the tube is fine underneath

I don't want to be picky but I don't think it's fair to say the top tube is straight. It's a bit misleading since there are some small dents in there and folks taking straight at face value might not be too happy.

I don't think it is misleading, I think you are either confusing what has been said or are being unnecessarily pedantic. There are various small/shallow dents in the top tube, I've made clear in the description and attempted to show in the photos - they only really show up as changes in the light/shadow shining off the tube - but they are there.

TC was asking whether the tube was straight - as in (I assume) has it had a frontal impact - ie: the top tube (and down tube) can bend downwards - I have seen this before on a Raleigh Mirage I bought on ebay. You would have to get TC to clarify whether this is what he means?, otherwise he would ask the question 'are there any dents?'. You seem to be taking 'straight' to mean 'no dents'? When you already know I have said that there are some, I really don't know what your point is?!

Perhaps if you have any genuine queries yourself then feel free to ask - but please be specific

Hoped I haven't caused any confusion here? I asked if it was straight because of the split but that was cleared up & if I was smaller than 6ft ID have it!
