Kona Custom Ku 19in Frame - Gone!

I've been eyeing this for months but never seem to have the cash  would you consider a cash plus bits offer or is it cash only?

It is a little large for me I'm afraid Phil, but I'd be interested to know if you have tracked down any of its history. We know it was made in the USA, but do you know by whom? e.g., what is its serial number? Any interesting little tell-tale signs like the goat head that's stamped on the Hot dropouts?
Hi Anthony. Seems like the demand in the market is for 17 or 18" at the moment as a Hot sold in a flash the other week! Oh well, someone a bit lankier might want it at some point!!
As to it's history, I'm not quite sure. Serial is KU0xxx, can't recall the number but I think its 120 something! Not studied the dropouts or any other features but will give it a closer look. Might also drop Kona Tech an email to see if they have any more info although they are a bit hit and miss sometimes.
Following up this exchange from a few months back, I think we can be certain that this was made by Altitude Cycles (prev Mountain Goat) of Chico in California, who also made Hots for Kona from 1996 to 97. Its serial number is in a similar format to earlier Kus, and if it is indeed number 120 then that appears to mean that it was the 120th made since they hit the market in 1995. So no wonder it's rare to find one.

Based on my own experience of an Easton Elite frame (mine is an Orange E4), I must say I don't understand why the market appears to find a steel Hot a more attractive proposition than an Easton Elite Ku.
