Kona Cindercone 1990

Hi all, just won this off eBay....

My first Kona, will be kitting it out with Shimano 737 groupset as it's my favourite bit of kit. Hopefully it's not too battered paint wise.

I'm just waiting to hear off the seller on EBay. Think I may have had a bargain as it sold for £25.

I know it was Suntour on it originally but I've never had Suntour before and know nothing about their range. Is the front mech a 28.6mm bottom pull?

Good buy, had that in my watch list being local and pick up only, but as usual forgot about it.

Will definately be 28.6 and bottom pull, will also have to be high clamp (bottom swing) due to the seat tube being ovalised at the bottom.

Looking forward to seeing it built up

Oops maybe it's not, although I thought it looked that way when I blew up the picture on the original ebay ad.

Mine's a '91 I think and that's ovalised so maybe I'm looking for it .

Bit of an update. Spent an hour or so giving frame a gentle T-Cut, it's come up a bit whiter.

Never noticed on the EBay advert that he had cut off the rear brake guide so he could run Magura's :shock: ....

Frame is in decent nick for its age and I don't want to lose the originality of it. Well I think it's ok .....

I've been collecting parts since I got it and here's what I've got so far....

Nice Avocet saddle off here....
