Klein Attitude build

Dirt Disciple
A friend spotted this Klein a couple of years ago and connected me with the owner. A year or so later, it was mine!
It was semi-complete, but had incorrect spindle length for the M900 cranks and a single-speed set-up on the rear. A mix of XT wheelset, brakes and seatpost, the rest of it was XTR and in great condition.

Overall, it was in pretty good condition for its age. It is well used, but there were no dents, and the paint is pretty good, apart from a section removed on the non-drive side top tube and small scratches and fading.

A few months later I got the bike sent up with some extra goodies.

Stripped it down and gave it a good clean and polish. The old paint still has a great shine to it. A few chips and chain suck on it and the pink has lost a bit of its brightness and has some sun tanning, but over all I am stoked with it. I will be leaving the paint alone on this one.

M900 groupset except for the wheelset and seat post, which I have an old Syncros to use.

The new spindle and bearing arrived courtesy of KleinPainted.com. It was a lightning fast delivery to New Zealand, so I'm very happy! I'm pretty fortunate to have a local guru, Dave, who used to sell and service Kleins in Auckland and still had the correct factory tool for the job. Thank you, Dave!
