Klein Adroit 1993 Gator

Re:

I have decided to use a set of Topline cranks for this that I picked up off eBay some time ago but they need restoring. They had been turquoise at one point but stripped and polished. They weren't too bad but still had lots of nicks and marks in them. So this evening I've been starting the refurb with a couple of hours of filing and rubbing. I need another session at least on them with finer papers and then polish to get them prepped for anodising, in black.

Few pics.

Re:

Looking good Ash. Just a heads up that if you have a Dremel that they also make a great polishing kit but the gem within the kit are these quick attach buffing pads. They also sell them separately. Not cheap but they work incredibly well.

I was able to bring these previously scratched arms back to this luster prior to ano.

Which took very well. I can't tell them from new.

I have a Dremel, thanks for the tip, those turquoise Graftons came out lovely!

Saw these yesterday in the Nike shop in Oxford Street, no, I didn't buy them but great colour match.

Re:

God knows how many hours later, won't do that again!, the Tops are ready to drop off for anodising. Also got some crank caps to go with them and prepped a Ringle seat qr.

Replaced the massive heavy rusty bolts in the Flite Evo for ti ones, must of saved at least half a gram!

Re:

Tits! Been to anodisers this morning and oversight on my behalf, due to the rivet which we think is steel holding the spider to the arm they can't anodise it, the rivet with corrode and spoil their tank, need a rethink and quick. I really wanted to fit the Toplines, anyone got some lovely black Toplines to sell!?
