KHS Softail Comp

What is it with all of these KHS softails coming out the woodwork lately!

I really like them. Shame this is a little too small

Top tube length is near enough the same as an 18" (c-c) GT. Just fit a long post.

I believe 12-28 may be retrokona on this website. He seems to strip bikes a lot and sell them part by part. I bought something of his on eBay recently and I must say that his definition of 'good' is not the same as mine.

I think he is correct in saying that the frame is a KHS size 17, meaning 18 on the c-t basis used by most other makers. If the top tube is 22" or 56cm, then that would be quite typical for a size 18 of other makes.

I would guess that this is quite a good frame, although not old enough to be of interest to most retrobike members. I note that one thing he doesn't mention in his description is the condition of the shock.

I think you find 12-28, is not Alex on RB, I've brought some ritchey cantilever's of him (12-28) and his name is dave, Iv'e got a feeling he may be a banned member, but to be fair I did recieve the canti eventually.

RetroKona is Zolkan cycles as on the below thread

No idea who 12-28 is but he sure does buy a lot of 'splitters'.

I dunno, it is an old bike from softail pioneers, and it is steel!

Ticks a lot of boxes for me at least, especially the low cost one, (hopefully)!
