just feeling about as crap as you could ever feel,
got two dogs and ones been odd of late all nervy and wanting to hide;
anyways cut a long story short ;I could not look after him anymore and have taken him to the blue cross.
mans best friend ;I feel gutted :(

Re:

Good for you.

It must have taken a lot of courage to do that, even knowing that it was the best thing.

I saw an article on the news about a woman who moved out of her house, and locked her dog in the kitchen. :facepalm: How difficult would it have been for her to do what you did, rather than let the poor dog starve to death.

I know you must feel terrible right now, but you know you did the right thing.

at least you have the company of the other dog to cheer you which is better than have none a tall

Re:

I thought you meant move from 'artlypool. Thought things must have gone really bad to find someplace worse ;-)

Best thing, if you can't handle them its best to let someone else look after them than let 'em rot.
Luke who you've met, rides with us, works at a dogs home.

Re:

cheers everyone; I had 3 options put him down;
try to rehome him;
or stick him in a cage for 10 hrs a day :cry:
so as I say am gutted other dogs 16 but takes no looking after now;
don't think I will ever have another now.

Re:

A brave and responsible thing to do, if the dog's confidence has gone then a change of environment is probably the best form of progress. The blue cross have experienced people there that will know how to go about rehabilitating him. Don't worry, you've done the right thing!

I'd quite happily take Stanley to her manky coupon.

On that note is there a group which takes 'action' against these scum after the courts let them off with a slap on the wrist? Obviously it would be unofficial but there must be splinters of animal welfare groups?
