I've met Noel Edmonds and the Drummer from Simply Red............oh and Timmy Mallet.

Does that count ?

Timmy is the man, he lives on my patch and I've worked in his house once. He was very down to earth and gave me cream cakes!! Then he had to show me all the rooms in his house and there was one room full of his 'Timmy' gear.

Bright doesn't come close.

So far iv'e meet her majesty the queen Prince Phillip, Prince Andrew, Princess Anne, Prince Charles, Prince William and Harry and finally Prince Andrew (he was nicest and funniest followed closely by Phillip who doesn't care what he says in front of marines as he's one of the lads (split jokes funny guy)

Also was introduced to the bbc's Chris Hollins once i told him he needed to do less trivial sports and do more cycling coverage on the bbc

Also as a kid meet loads of musicians at my mum's cousins funeral and before that at madia vale studio. Anne Liney (mums cousin) used to work for John peel at the bbc producing at madia vale studio at the funeral there was the whole of Queen, wham, status quo (who i meet again in later life on the HMS Ark Royal for jam side down) David bowie, David essex and loads of others my mum's got loads of photo's and stuff from when the wake and by all accounts it was a right party (i was 2 so dont remember it) but there's loads of pics of me as a kid in the loft at the studios as a kid sitting with queen one of me hitting keys with Elton John and loads of live practice set recordings with people giggling and playing random songs up in the loft too the scarest pic up in the loft is toyah wilcox chatting with my mum and Anne with me in a nappy with shads on eating a drum stick mum loves that pic way to much

Not in real life. But years ago I had a dream that I wandered into Buckingham Palace by accident and had to hide from The Queen and Prince Phillip when they came into the room. Turned out that all that stonework and pillars was just a facade, inside it was all glass walls, brushed aluminium and modular 1970's hessian furniture. Quite cool in a pre re-fit QE2 kind of way. The royal couple were a bit of a disappointment though, they sat down and chatted to each other, like they were an old couple at a bus stop. I felt a bit disappointed.

When I was about 7 though we got marched up from school to line the pavements and wave because Charlie-boy and his wifey [Mk I] were due to drive past because they were visiting Yorkshire to open a new cancer ward. I can't remember if she was wearing her seatbelt...

Echo CK comments on Prince Phillip - met him at a reception a few years back. Very amusing guy - with a pretty sharp wit - can see how he's got himslef in trouble before

Met Queenie, Queen Mum, Margeret, Anne, Charles etc as I used to sing in the choir at the Royal Chapel in Windsor Great Park - then my balls dropped

If I were ever invited to meet the queen I would turn it down. Maybe invite her to my house instead. See what the world of a fairly average uk citizen is like

Surely a tour of the emporium Dave...? :D

Haven't met her but she's on the telly and in the papers so much I feel as if I have.

Why should I worry over her anniversaries, she never bothers with mine.

I'll be glad when this weekend is over.

Don't like being a subject, I'd rather be a Citizen of my country.

Just read this back, what a grumpy git I am.

Nope, not said hello to the Queen, but I have shook hands with Ex president Clinton, though he was president at the time and I was where I was, because I was skiving.
