John Parker - Yeti Interview

really - not impressed. Quite strange the passion we all have for mtb and yetis come from a man who seems so scarcely involved in the thing. Maybe I'm romantic but I'm unimpressed.
Well, probably riding a motorbike is easier for a guy in his sixties with a pouch...

seems to me & having several friends in the trade, that the more immersed in bikes you are for a living, the less you want to do with them in your spare time. Parkers certainly 1 of many to have made a clean brake from cycling.
if you look back over the early yeti brochures you'll see Parker was always interested in motorbikes.
I think i'm more impressed than Andy@yetifan is 1 of the few whos in regular contact with him ;)

Made his money, got out the business and by the sounds of it, has a hassle free lifestyle by the sea in so-cal. Can't blame him, also he is 60.

I found the bit about Allan Millyard very interesting.

I don't blame him either, I'm just unimpressed, as I said. I simply won't waste other five minutes reading another interview of the guy (albeit I'm still wasting time writing on a topic about his interview, but coherency's not my forté)
By the way, Moser is 60 too, and he can smoke me (36) on any climb.

if the oppertunity comes up i will buy one of those millyards!!! However i liked the interview. Hes being real, and i deon't really think he gives a faq about what others wish he would do. you have to respect him for living how he wants to live and being happy in the process.

Respect him? sure I do, he hasn't harmed anyone..... Just don't admire him, for the same reason you might adore him,
