Re: Jeremy 'Bigot' Clarkson

It often makes me stop and ponder how rappers can say absolutly ANYTHING and get away with it, yet when somebody outside of that environment or circle happens to say something it becomes such a hot topic. So if Clarko had dropped the N bomb but had followed it up with "that was a quote from NWA" would people not jumped on it so quickly??

Re: Jeremy 'Bigot' Clarkson

Another 2p (i must be rich)

If you classify Mr Clarkson as a bigot, you should do some soul searching and decide how sensitive you are. I like Frankie Boyle - his humour is wide ranging and very funny (to me) but it is sometimes very clearly derogatory to some sections of society at times - do they find it funny too?

This is a very fine line to walk, and i believe that Bernard Manning was slightly misquoted as saying that he told jokes about everyone because 'he hated everyone' - he told jokes about many minority groups and he probably was discriminatory as he probably missed some group.

The society we now live in is peculiar, and i would presume that some of the blame must be apportioned to the government. The issues with the British Airways staff member wearing a cross comes to mind. All the issues with burkas and hijabs (probably wrong spellings there - does that make me a racist?) bring racial differences to the fore - but has there been a result yet?

Politics are currently making a big issue about race - the PM seems to be swaying a bit, Nigel Farage sticks to the same line and the BNP leader is in bother. Where is the country going? Who knows? My suspicion is that the politicians will say anything that gets votes - perhaps not that unusual EXCEPT when it becomes a racial issue and then they need to be careful. To be a leader you need to be a multicultural person with racist tendencies - work that out!!!

Much love to all (everyone - regardless of creed, sexual orientation, race etc etc )

Re: Jeremy 'Bigot' Clarkson

Mr History -

You may have to rethink your ID - The History Person may be acceptable to all but certainly the word man may offend!

Have a good weekend,

Richard

Re:

Lenny Henry is trying far too hard to be "black".
He's about as white as it gets for a black man (culturally speaking) :?

Re: Jeremy 'Bigot' Clarkson

^^^ um - racist perhaps?

But, again, you would need to look at your ID - 'old' is not acceptable any more. Ageingmuthariley may be more appropriate!

How's that racist?
You seem to have a thing about people's IDs

Re: Jeremy 'Bigot' Clarkson

I have nothing against ID's - i am illustrating a point about how mad that our society has become. The word 'old' is problematic, as is the word 'man'.

As for Lenny Henry, i never found him funny regardless of his race.

Apologies if i annoyed you.

Re: Jeremy 'Bigot' Clarkson

Here's the irony.

Jeremy Clarkson portrays a public caricature called "Jeremy Clarkson".

"Jeremy Clarkson" knows how to play the media and push peoples buttons.

"There's no such thing as bad advertising" And most here, today, has been provided by Highlandsflyer, who appears not to be a fan of his...

Whilst being a 'Monumental Bellend' he has created seven pages of waffle on a cycling forum, in a week when a teacher lost her life to a 15 year old pupil, which, strangely, hasn't even provoked a single post?

Funny, but not in a humorous way.
