personally i'm not offended as such by the above post, (although the one written above just as i posted is abit out of order i think) i accept that even though the above word is not acceptable in modern times using the word in the context of a film from years ago is not aimed at anyone so is it an insult? i'm not sure to be honest. i would prefer it not be used though but at the end of the day the film and the dog character are part of history and would probably be best left there.
i must admit i do hate it when old stuff is changed to suit the more recent times, we all accept that things were different back then, and watch films like that with that in mind.
regarding Clarkson, yawn . . . he's an average bloke, do i think he's a racist? no, exaggerated idiot who generally says things for (comedy?) effect? yes. in this case it's the papers and internet blowing it up out of proportion, so they've done their job in getting us talking about him. well done them.
