JENSEN ITALIA 1961.

Never heard of Jensen until I asked my auntie Val what bike she had whilst riding for Kingsgate Wheelers of Winchester (now VC Venta) back in the 60's. Thinking it would be a Rotrax, our local Southampton builder, but no she had a Jensen made to measure. When I stumbled across this at a jumble earlier this year I just had to buy it.

Nice choice of colour :)

Is there something brazed on that put the downtube shifters in that position?

Shaun

Re:

Shifters seem high Shaun, but I'm restricted by the pip as you spotted before on this thread...I think the curve of the levers and point of the clamp works well with the lug...I'm waffling now!http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=335912&start=10
