Just a bit of a tease as I have just rolled this into the garage and yet to have a proper look. It is a 1978, serial number 7456, Jack Taylor (Super?) Touring Tandem, with a very nice selection of kit: Phil Wood hubs with Phil disc brakes front and back; TA Cyclotourist tandem cranks; Campagnolo Rally rear mech; Cinelli bars; Brooks B72?; Surntour bar cons etc.

The bike is very original and set up like a French randonneur with the main chainset under the captain and a very long chain to the rear. Only defect noted was a cracked fender.

Proper photos to follow

I had the pleasure of working on one of these that had been used as the family transport for nearly 40 years. Theirs was blue,1973, original powder blue paint and decals. Twin canti brake lever with the rear lever controlling the Atom rear hub brake.

The frame is a work of art and it has been used like it should, ferrying the family around with a sidecar and baby carrier. Rebuilt the rear wheel and gave it a full service.

Looks very like the one I sold a year or two back on behalf of a friend.

Thanks for the comments gents, anyone know the difference between a super and regular touring model. This bike has the matching racks with serial numbers.
