Iv'e crushed the end of my little finger

Personally I'd take the advice of the hand specialist..........you do know the NHS has specialist hand surgeons ?

Best of luck

It took two years for my thumb to fully heal btw, nerve damage took the longest and its still a bugger in the cold.

This was done in June 2008.

My colleague thought I broke my leg until he rolled up my trouser leg and could see my tendons moving when I wiggled my toes.
He stuck an eye patch from the 1st aid kit in the hole and took me to hospital.

I still have numbness on one side of the scar and pins and needles on the other and as you say, it's a bugger in the cold.

can i have all your stuff now that your doomed to ride unicycles for the rest of your life?

yeah you can except for my 2 giants and my tools  :D

does this mean also that you will have problems putting small round badges on ....

ps any pics yet ...?oh and to stop the pain keep your hand elevated up against the shoulder ..this should help a little,,

Taking of nerve damage. I had an operation on my shoulder back in 1999. One of those procedures when they want you to stay active afterwards to help keep the joint moving. So they used an epidural anestetic (sp?) so the area was numb but still mobile. They must have caught a nerve that goes to the front of my right thigh. Ever since the area has been numb.

My thumb still has a cold end a couple of years after my dog bit round it.

Very noticeable yesterday stood out for hours in the snow and cold.

Luckily I had some hand warmers so was able to find some relief in my pockets.

Thumbs generally have a great supply of blood so don't suffer too much after injury.
