IS v PM mounting Aaargh

Brakes back from service, SIDs ready for fitting. Forgot about mounting. Brakes are Hope Mini IS mount. Forks are PM. See pics

Rotors are 183 so I assume I need this?

However...
...your caliper is a no3 , which is normally used with a 185mm disc on the front. The adapter means you have to go up a size, so you will need a 203mm disc on the front.

That's the one.
I don't think floating discs were invented when minis were around. A plain flat disc of steel type rotor is what you need, but one with a wider contact area than is common today. Minis had very distinctive, quite pretty, wavey discs.

If I'm reading it correctly I can get the 160 version for my 183 rotor without buying a new one.

Might be worth a try before another £30 on rotors

Why can't there be one standard!

Also IS mounts seem to work really easily, there is no thread on the frame/fork, but everything seems to be going post mount, is there some better reason for them?

I will admit I think the IS mount stuff I had were using post mount adapters, so found them easy to adjust, I suppose directly mounting to IS would be not as adjustable... assuming thats what I had, I found mounting those to frame and fork, easier and better than just using post mount... go figure.
