IS THIS TYRE TOO THIN??

Know what you mean about thinner tyres being wider then wider ones. Got some 1.95's that look thinner then roadie tyres and another set of 1.95's that seem as wide as my 2.35's! :? :o

Tyres and socks look fine, but your V-brake arms should be closer to vertical. :P

If you look, you should see that there are two pairs of convex and concave washers on each brake shoe/block. If the brake arms are too far apart, like yours, put the thinner pair inboard of the arms and the fatter pair outboard.

I have my back ones like that for heel clearance  but I like the squidgy feel on the front for modulation :D just a personal thing :P
Glad you like my socks I have just sent a pair to utah dog as part of his competition prize

As your brake arms are so splayed out, I guess it means that your rims are quite wide. That may be why the skinny tyres don't look/work too bad. If you mounted them on skinny rims, they would probably look too skinny and not give you so much grip.

At the end of the day, skinny tyres are fast in a straight line but slow round corners. That's why the conventional wisdom is to have if anything a fatter tyre on the front than on the back.

I think that if I swap them round, considering that I am no lightweight the rear would then pop
I have loads of stripy socks  but they make your ankles look fat  (bloody horizontal stripes   )

I'm a skinny monkey - should I try stripy socks for that muscular look?
