I am no expert on metal fatigue , or anyhting like that , but £975 is a lot of money to spend on a frame which has been damaged like that .

Then don't buy it if you know fark all about Ti and metal fatigue. Like almost all bitching on this and other 'crimping' threads.
Nice attitude to have if you are trying to sell something.

You have made some bold statements with no proof at all & yet you wonder why there is such scepticism about the integrity of both the frame and the seller

What are your credentials with regards to Titanium, it's properties, machining and fatigue life?

I wont . you are a very nmce seller who only registered on here to sell a damaged frame for a grand . what do you expect ?!?!

What are yours?

You are just a bitch queen on this thread, not expecting to be called out.

Tough luck for you.

I registered here just to please you and the other bitch queens.

It worked!

It's the seller who made the original statement that this modification hasn't affected frame integrity. It's fair for any potential buyers to ask on what basis he can make that statement. Just saying that someone rode it a couple of seasons is hardly a scientific/expert explanation.

How does anyone know how far/hard this guy rides? And if he would notice if the frame was pulled slightly out of alignment etc..
If the frame has been significantly weakened then all we know is that it's had 2 seasons riding to help it get to breaking point.

Answering the (ok sarcastic) questioning by stating that someone else knows nothing about Ti without offering your own credentials or again explaining why they are wrong doesn't help your credibility.

At the end of they day you're the one selling the bike so you should be prepared to back up such strong statements with something more solid. You are asking someone to part with almost a grand here.

Educate yourself.

Titanium

6AL-4V, also known as grade 5 titanium is notoriously hard to form into seamless tubes, a feat very few companies have mastered, most opting for technically inferior welded/seamed tubes. We have worked long and hard to master the procedure and we have! We are now proud to offer our Excel frame with seamless 6AL-4V seamless double butted tubes!

The main gains over 3AL-2.5V are:

Increased stiffness; 6AL-4V is 5% stiffer than 3Al-2.5V.

Increased strength; 6AL-4V is 20% Stronger than 3AL-2.5V which means we can comfortably bring down frame weight.

Lighter; 6AL-4V may only be 1% lighter than 3AL-2.5V but add into the equation the extra strength and stiffness and the bonus is we can bring frame weight down by up to 10%!

All of our dropouts, cable stops and head tubes are CNC machined from 6AL-4V titanium billet as the alloy is very easily machined and is extremely strong.

3AL-2.5V An alloy consisting of 3% aluminium, 2.5% vanadium, and 94.5% pure titanium. Also known as grade 9, is easily formable, excellent corrosion resistance and superb fatigue life make 3AL-2.5V the most used titanium when making an Enigma frame. All of our frame tubes are 3AL 2.5V which are seamless and cold drawn and in some cases double butted. Double butted tubes have variable wall thicknesses, usually thicker at both ends for strength and ease of welding and thinner in the middle of the tube to save weight in a less stressed area.

The only downside of butted tubes is their higher price as they are harder to produce than plain gauge.

3AL-2.5V typically has an ultimate tensile strength of 900 MPA

Very playground this isn't it.

You are trying to sell something yet you refuse to back up your claims and your only retort is "so what about you".

Very immature and speaks volumes about your integrity, unlike the frame you are trying to sell, which you have made no attempt to clarify why you believe it to be in the condition you claim it to be in.

So, what are your credentials in Titanium frame building? A degree in Wikipediaology?

You seem to be quite vocal so speak up and tell us why anyone should buy this frame

What are your Ti frame building qualifications are and where does your Ti knowledge come from?

If you cannot back up your claims then this frame will not sell as no one will believe you.

No - YOU tell me why the crimping has totally ruined the frame

Sorry but you don't sound like the type who would listen

I'm listening - away you go.

Where's the other bitch queen Dickyboy gone? He was going to give us all a lecture on Ti, metal fatigue, dicky hormones and all the rest?

Where is he?

LMAO!

Does someone have a pic of the bike, I'm interested to see what all the fuss is over.

Sure - I'll get photos up tomorrow. It is pretty amazing = all 6/4 Ti, MASSIVE downtube, all sorts of trick welding - it is beautiful and F🤬🤬k the tiny crimp. I have it covered over anyways with two Litespeed factory chainstay protectors, one on each side, looks a million dollars.
