My frame doesn’t have that bracket for the front mech, like other rc100's?
That's because the frame was designed for the Shimano endless band mech as you have fitted.
The early bikes used Shimano but due to supply problems remember '89/90 was boom time and Pace are a small outfit so Shimano supplied the big U.S. company's first. Pace had to look else where for parts hence Suntour and Campagnolo on the latter frames
