Is this a non triple triangle GT???

No it's a Milazo.
def retro, 1990, Shimano 300ex made out of steam pipe, weighs a ton.
1-1/4" headset,

My first bike

Yeah just remember those early no triple triangle frames were like 5lb 7oz in an 18" frame and long in the stays. They were street/trail kinds of bikes....they didn't climb nearly as well as the triple triangle frames. I don't think the pictured frame is a GT. Better pics would help.

I thought that even the lowest end and earliest GT bikes shared the pierced top tube where the seat tube slotted through the TT just like the triple triangle bikes. On the non triple triangle ones the seatstays then attached themselves to this extension on the TT rather than attaching to the seattube as on this 'thing'.

Even if this was a genuine low end GT I think it's reached its optimum value. I'd save your money for a proper high end GT!

Thats a wishbone rear stay - GT never made them, the early stuff looked like this
