Is this a nice road bike?

Oh yes! I have to confess total ignorance about the wheels but the frame is beautiful. Just look at those lugs!! I would imagine it's SLX tubing, worth a question as he doesnt say and you cant make it out on the sticker.

54cm is about 21 1/4", Im 5'8 and ride this size, so if you buy it and dont like it then remember me at Christmas :D

I was never crazy about the airbrushed cyclist on the tob tube from the Colnagos of that era, but that's a beautiful bike. Looks like there is no rust on the chrome either.

One thing is for sure, it desperately needs Campy!

I'm pretty sure the tubing is proprietary (but also made by Columbus) and significantly lighter than SLX. Those bikes ride as beautifully as they look.

It's Columbus Gilco tubing, the three main tubes at least.

The rest is probably SLX or a variant

Will go for silly money i fear :(

Colnago Master olympic

I have the Extra light version of this and it is surely the best road bike I have ever owned (and I've had a few). Nothing smoothes out road buzz like the glico tubing, the craftsmanship is superb, the paint job amazing and the handling is outstanding. Nothing inspires hard cornering confidence like a Colnago.

BUY BUY BUY , you will never regret owning a Master Olympic. I suspect it will get to around the £1000 mark, especially as this is a good size for a 5ft9 inch average size rider.

Good luck,

Stuart
