Is this a genuine Orange Clockwork, and any idea on year?

Hi all,

I am new to posting but have been lurking for a while! My brother doesn't stop talking about your site and he makes me want another retro bike!

The one in question is an Orange Clockwork, can anyone tell me if it's genuine and possibly what year it was made?


It is purple and has full LX equipment and is a 21 speed if that helps at all

On the underneath of the bike of the bottom bracket will be a frame number, could you post that up?

can;t see much reason for it not being geniune. Looks like a orange to me. from the decals (and i'm no orange expert) i'd say 93/94.

I'm pretty sure it's a genuine orange and we have a few in the forum in that colour, some even in the readers bikes

the frame number gives it being stamped as a 2=1992 and 09 being september of that year. Given when a frame is built doesn't mean when it is built as a complete bike and sold, it would be fair to say yours would be a 92/93 orange

I'm sure some orange gurus will be along soon to give a fuller informative view
