Any ideas? Hadn't noticed till after the powder coat, but looks like a dink in the drive side chain stay, there is the long dent, which i think is normal for these frames, but the small one near the BB worries me.

Its a 531st rando if it makes any difference. Thanks.

Personally i wouldn't worry - as you say, there is a far bigger dent deliberately applied to the stay anyway! I've seen 531 frames with huge dents on the thin part of the tubes which have lasted.

Looks ridable to me, there is plenty of strenght in that area in any case........now the tip of a fork, that would be differnt. No sign of cracking to the BB either .

Powder coating looks crisp and clean :)

Might have been put there deliberately to clear a granny ring on a short axle? No problem I reckon.

Thanks gents, that's put my mind at rest.

I'm quite pleased with the powder coats quality, but I'm a bit unsure of the colour now! But I'm thinking if I fit all chrome drive train stem and bars etc, with black bar tape, black/silver sti's, and white decals it shouldn't look too bad. Just need to decide between silver or black mudguards.
