Definitely looking like a potential for craziness this year. With the 2012 hysteria in the back of people's minds, economies on the brink and the ME situation looking like it will come to a head with Israel attacking Iran things are primed to explode.

In the US the President and a willing media is using class warfare, racial division and invented 'social injustice' to distract from his dismal and embarrassing record and fan the flames of discontent. Our liberal newscasters see the riots in Greece and they say 'ya know - people in the US would be justified in rioting like that'. They are literally encouraging riots.

I'm going full on 'Retro Prepper' and buying up old bike parts on eBay for when civilization collapses and the survivors form Road Warrior like retro MTB gangs because there will be no more gasoline.

on the other hand had i just got back form brazil and its, buzzing over there, the town i went to 7 years ago has doubled in size it seems like everyone has iphones and ipads, even the street cleaners, and theres new buildings going up everywhere. lots of people moving back there from europe and the USA too.

Construction (a bit of a barometer to the country in general) seems to me to busier than this time last year. There are more bigger projects kicking off it seems to me.

I don't feel there is much to be worried about.

We are talking degrees of adjustment, rather than radical change.
