This isn't that mad: imagine how hard it is to replicate one of those. Most of the sweet steel frames we love could be easily remade - as could valuable handmade gooseneck stems; it's these manufactured oddities that will command the big money.

If there is an obscenity angle then it's the fact that components like this have no use value: they provide no real improvement over a bog standard item and become too valuable to even mount on a bike.

Prometheus - buy a nitto and keep yours under your pillow (or ride the tits off it and give us daily upates on how scratched it gets).

Mine won't be for sale, not for the time being at least. I bought it for a purpose not to make a quick profit. I have to admit though that it's difficult to ignore that sale price but we'll see how it goes. At the end of the day if it isn't right when the builds more complete then I would have been offering it for sale anyway. Like you say, I doubt it would reach the same value again but good to know i'll at least get my money back
