Is it just me or is XC racing on TV really boring?!?

Apart from the Atherton's and Peaty and I couldn't tell you any of today's riders......especially in XC.

Half the problem IMO is that modern XC courses aren't very technical and therefore the fittest/strongest guy will nearly always win. Technical ability has little effect on the result and technical problems, mainly punctures, have all but been eliminated by modern (tyre) technology.

I'm trying to get excited about the Olympics XC race but the Brits have little or no chance. Sauser will win Gold.

One of the old Courses I watched there was an evil downhill section that either the lucky just made it ... The nutters went over the handle bars but most just got off and slid down it!!

That'll be the Pipeline at Newnham. Many a rider went over the bars or hit the tree or both.
