I'm sure someone will be along advising you run some kind of blocker soon. However suggest all be mindful without said adverts this site would cease to exist!

I fully appreciate what you're saying John and if the site depends on advert revenue then that's better than no RB at all.

Saying that, I for one would happily donate or pay an annual subscription if that means the site was advert free.

Fair goes and thanks! I fear that's not really a realistic option. However think compare to a lot of sites we're fairly low key when it comes to ads. Most logged in users see one per page, just clicked onto another well known single type bike site and can see 9 flash banners on a forum page

No, don't worry. Non logged in get two, one header and one footer. Logged in get one footer only.

John, totally understand the site needs advertising and the generic adverts I have no issue with, I think they are not to heavy on rb and are about right.

I do have issues with tracking advertising that takes away my right to privacy by using my i.p. and watching me to then take away my choices. Now if there was a way the site could disbale that to respect the privacy of it's members?

Far too many see it as inevitable so we must tolerate it but by not signing in I get all the same resources without the spying from companies trying to sell my location for adverts.

I'll use ghostery then make my decision later.

I use AdBlock as part of Google Chrome, but I have it ignore this site as I find the ebay one often pics up some last minute interesting things, that and my little way to say thanks for the site really.
Also I use Auction Watch and that needs the blocker unblocked. I will admit I am using rbmobile skin and I see that has no adds, but makes it easier on the phone and DS. Which is nice but annoying for the last minute ebay interest I mention

My ads at the bottom for the moment is good anyway; They're for Charge Splashbacks or rouleur so is completely inoffensive.

I say it's fine if it makes the site free but I would still pay a sub if it was to go ad-free anyway.
