Hi everyone,
I found this site while looking for more info on my Saracen frame. The seller listed it as a kili pro or comp, and it shares a lot of the features of that frame, but the paint is wrong for the pro at least. So I thought maybe it's the Eirger with new stickers, but it lacks the pannier rack buses on the back.
This was my first full build and paint bike, I initially just wanted a cheap steel frame for a single speed MTB build, but the more I read about this line the more interested I am in the brand.
Grew up as a MTB kid, but for some reason didn't hear about Saracen until getting the frame.
I love the frame. I did my best to treat the rust and the dent it has in the frame. The colour isn't very keeping with the brand but more with the period. I guess pretty sure I had a shell suit these colours at some point. Being steel, it's ironically my lightest bike and I use it like today for my 24mile all round commutes when I fancy a bit of hard mode.
I'm having a bit of trouble with the fork that came with it now knowing it isn't factory, and it's obviously slammed way too much for my liking which I'm slowly rectifying. I would love to hear some info if there are some features in the photo's that give it a positive ID, or someone could suggest some good forks to keep an eye out for.
Thanks for viewing my post, look forward to this being the inspiration for a lot more projects going forward
