Its just you I think. There is a bolt level with the top tube, presumably internal expanding wedge like syncros ahead stems.

I have an Al Carter frame that uses the same seat post clamping mechanism

This is too good to miss!!! Scorpion frames were the Ti arm of Paul Donohue cycles, not a prototype just very expensive, £2000 in 1996!!. If you don't know him google "Paul Donohue appreciation society". He is a road and track building legend. In MTB terms he build some of the orange clockwork formulas known on this site as the " unicorn".

This bike is very, very rare. I own onehttp://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/vie ... 6&t=170773. I have never seen another in the flesh.

This is one of the best riding MTBs I have ever ridden, so much so I still have it after nearly 20years.

If someone here buys it let me know and I will tell them all they need to know.
