Imperial handmade by Cesare Rizzato of Padua, Italy. Circa 1968. 10 speed Campagnolo. Rear Derailleur Campagnolo Nuovo Valentino Extra. Rims cerchi Nisi tubulars. CRP high flange hubs. Vittoria Rally tyres in good condition, plus a spare tubular. Brakes “Comet”. Stem 3ttt Tourist. Chainring “Omega”. Suit 5ft8inch to 6foot.
The frame is ordinary steel, just average. The swept forks perform well. Great rims in very good condition, combined with high flange hubs - they are stable, predictable and fast. (High flange hubs reduce spoke length). No structural damage , nor dents but paintwork suffered mishandling in storage.
Chased guys on modern bikes down from the mountains above Menton. They out accelerate and outbrake, but on the bends catch up as they hop around while am stable/ surefooted. They hear it coming as the brakes screech and howl trying to slow for the bends. Getting too old for that carry-on.
Bike located at Italy/France border Ventimiglia/Menton. Could deliver to Monaco/SanRemo. £130.00
Would consider dismantling, breaking for parts.
