Category X-Orange Formula.

Orange for me!

You give me too much kudos mate, your knowledge, connections and sympathy to the past are right up there with the best.
Cheers Ed.

It did me good loading up all the Dave Yates images through the thread, you can see from the images how the frame angles/geometry differ from the Orange Formula, Lester was a great help to be fair, he couldn't remember which one was which other than to say it was one of the first three.
But when you compare to the Overburys, its clear geometry was evolving, BB heights, chainstay lengths, headangles etc.

I found some very short racing videos, but in the space of a year you can see how things were changing so fast.

Your threads are always enlightening and often entertaining and inspiring mate. It's good to have you back. :)
Thank you. Im sure some would disagree. Its good to be back too.

So which you would have chosen, stood outside the shop window in the 80s...?

Thank you, a lot longer to finish than expected to be honest, but it did give me chance to learn a little more about the settings on an I-Phone for the pics, although there isn't one pic out of all of them that capture the Neon properly imho despite my best attempts in different rooms and spaces.

This was fun, reported as the First British Mountain bike team to compete for the 1987 World Championship.

a Short video but a brilliant look back at where we really were in 87 with the mountain bike and the sport in general.

Dave Yates, Muddy Fox, Cannondale, they are all there.
