the 18540 batteries whilst maybe a bit of a pain, once you buy into them they are a good source. You can get them in the UK too, just not at the supermarket.

I bought two of the ssc p7-c modes off deal extreme with batteries and a charger and they are awesome. Much brighter than a lot of the expensive bike lights. I've one on the bars and one on my helmet 900 lumens each lol

Look very impressive for the price. Maybe a bit too much for use on the road though..

Can imagine I'd be very unpopular with other road users..

we (the east midlands click) have managed to stop traffic a few times on small country roads when riding side by side lol

also as long as you're not shining it in drivers eyes (except when they don't dip there lights) you should be ok

Reminds me of the time I was descending a track in the local woods (Hope HID blazing away) & came up behind a guy walking his dog! Poor bloke looked terrified, perhaps though he was about to be abducted by aliens
