If you don't like someones statements just ignore them.

Whenever I see certain names as the most recent poster on threads I don't bother opening them. This constant bickering and one-upsmanship is getting very tiring. The number of times I have deleted what I have typed and not bothered posting a comment just because speaking (typing?) my mind would only agreivate the situation. Yes, threads go off-topic and sometimes develop into civil interesting discussions but taking a thread way off-topic as a slanging match is something else.

My 10p worth

Shame you feel like that although I know what you mean.

It's pretty clear who the main instigators of this bickering often are. Maybe I do need to start dishing out temporary bans more if people can't cool their own heads.

Am I on that naughty list?

The holidays alway bring on tension. People are people. Oh, and tone is very often mistake over the internet, something about not being able to see the person's face, or hear the pitch in their voice.

I've only ever had a problem with a couple people from the vrc, posting on here, and one guy from here, and that was because they made it more personal via PMing me, only to still make a public display of it- time wasters, say what you got to say, and get it over with. Life goes on, and I can safely say that I don't hate anyone, well except my father, but that's a whole other topic.

ha ha with me its my mum, she's a bitch!

Not at all Rob.

Can't help but think those who are on 'the naughty list' are probably blissfully ignorant.

So wise and yet so fickle.......some members

Does that really help?

And what of the snide comments from lgf under my posts,he on the list as well......

Think before you type.

LGF made one comment. Comments would be the plural (i.e. two or more). It seemed fairly generalised to me. If you took it as a snide comment perhaps that's a good thing. At least it shows a level of self awareness (finally).

What list is LGF on? Your valentines one?

Your comment on the other hand with it's irritating wink was clearly snide. Poor.

Think on before you comment. I'm in no mood for a last word contest today nor do I feel like losing such a contest. Read between those lines.

To be honest John, I think a lot of good could be done and tension reduced by removing the  smiley.

Very rarely ventrure into off-topic anymore, as this is almost a given, as is the veiled (and sometimes not-so veiled) slagging off.

shame, the rest of the site is quite inspirational at times

+1 for both these sentiments unfortunately.

i quite like reading some of the bickering! makes me wonder why people who could be on opposite sides of the world take such a dislike to each other? then again they could be next door and in the real world get along just fine?
some i will agree gets a bit heated but that can happen anywhere to anyone can it not?
i had a "moment" with an exboss a while ago which ended up with me almost putting my fist thru a door. that was bloody daft of me cos 99% of the time i am very mellow.

funny how that works, regarding the blissfully ignorant.
