If you don't like someones statements just ignore them.

perhaps a restiction on the discussion of politics and religion may help....they seem to be the sore point on average from what i can see..i like this site and it does seem to have changed a bit from what i can see...although some of the pics ive seen in the thread of people in the past is my current fav :D

Whenever I see certain names as the most recent poster on threads I don't bother opening them. This constant bickering and one-upsmanship is getting very tiring. The number of times I have deleted what I have typed and not bothered posting a comment just because speaking (typing?) my mind would only agreivate the situation. Yes, threads go off-topic and sometimes develop into civil interesting discussions but taking a thread way off-topic as a slanging match is something else.

My 10p worth

Shame you feel like that although I know what you mean.

It's pretty clear who the main instigators of this bickering often are. Maybe I do need to start dishing out temporary bans more if people can't cool their own heads.

Maybe my interest, sensitivity and time wasted agitates tempers.

Very rarely ventrure into off-topic anymore, as this is almost a given, as is the veiled (and sometimes not-so veiled) slagging off.

shame, the rest of the site is quite inspirational at times

Many members instigate, sometimes actively, topics which antagonise trollers?

Am I on that naughty list?

The holidays alway bring on tension. People are people. Oh, and tone is very often mistake over the internet, something about not being able to see the person's face, or hear the pitch in their voice.

I've only ever had a problem with a couple people from the vrc, posting on here, and one guy from here, and that was because they made it more personal via PMing me, only to still make a public display of it- time wasters, say what you got to say, and get it over with. Life goes on, and I can safely say that I don't hate anyone, well except my father, but that's a whole other topic.

I'm using the site less now because of the sour vibes around the place, which is a shame.

That's my opinion (before someone tells me I'm wrong)
